Lead with Clarity.

When the path forward isn’t clear, even the strongest leaders can feel overwhelmed or blown off course. Too often, leaders respond to adaptive challenges with technical solutions. To lead through complexity, you need new ways of thinking—not just new tactics.

Jones-Taylor Strategies works with nonprofit executives, mission-driven teams, and philanthropies when the stakes are high and the way forward isn’t obvious. Whether you’re navigating a leadership transition, strategic inflection point, funding uncertainty, internal instability, or sociopolitical change, we help you see what’s really getting in the way and determine what needs to shift.

Our work is grounded in adaptive leadership. We help leaders recognize the mindsets and patterns that limit their effectiveness, build greater self-awareness, and develop the capacity to lead with greater clarity, conviction, and compassion.

We help organizations:

  • Strengthen leadership, culture, and collaboration

  • Build and rebuild trust with funders and stakeholders

  • Translate greater alignment into lasting impact

About Myra | Leadership

Aligning people, policy, and strategy to deliver measurable impact has defined Myra Jones-Taylor’s career. As a senior executive, she has led state agencies and national organizations through moments of profound transition and growth—from envisioning and launching Connecticut’s first cabinet-level early childhood agency as its founding commissioner, to increasing the impact and elevating the visibility of the Urban Institute and Zero to Three.

Myra’s strength is not only strategic vision, but her ability to bring diverse stakeholders together around a shared purpose and move them to action. She has built cross-sector coalitions, bridged institutional divides, launched new lines of work, and shaped policy with lasting impact for children and families nationwide. She has done so in some of the most challenging political environments, earning a reputation for bringing even apathetic or opposing stakeholders to the table, working through differences, and getting things done.

An anthropologist and ethnographer by training, Myra brings a systems-level lens to leadership, culture, and change. She helps leaders identify the mindsets and patterns holding them back, shift what no longer serves them, and lead with greater clarity, conviction, and impact. Her work is deeply human, sharply strategic, and grounded in purpose.
